If you keep up with the news you are already aware that many psychiatric drugs cause violence, suicide and multiple side effects.  Well, now Mercola has published a list of specific drugs known to cause violence.  It is not speculation anymore!  A matter of fact some of the drug studies revealed this problem early on, prior to the marketing of the drug, yet it was released and is still on the market.

Side Effects of Prozac and Paxil for Breastfeeding Mothers

I remember when pregnancy meant not taking any drugs; not even aspirin; not even allergy medicine.  Since when is it okay to take SSRIs before or during pregnancy?  The article below explains a new study on how Paxil and Prozac and other SSRIs can negatively affect milk production in lactating (breastfeeding) women.

“Taking Prozac, Paxil, or other antidepressants from the class of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) can cause delays in lactation in new mothers and difficulty in breast-feeding newborns, a new study says. Read the rest of this entry »

A Documentary – Making A Killing – The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging

Making a Killing DVD

“Psychotropic drugs. It’s the story of big money–drugs that fuel a $330
billion psychiatric industry, without a single cure.  The cost in human
terms is even greater–these drugs now kill an estimated 42,000 people
every year.  And the death count keeps rising.  Containing more than
175 interviews with lawyers, mental health experts, the families of victims
and the survivors themselves, this riveting documentary rips the mask
off psychotropic drugging and exposes a brutal but well-entrenched
money-making machine.”

The facts are hard to believe, but fatal to ignore.

Big Pharma is making a killing by pushing their psychotropic drugs down millions of individual’s throats from antidepressants to antipsychotics to psychostimulants for ADHD.   Let’s not forget those hypnotic sleeping pills, too.

What mental illness do you have this week?  Not doing your homework?  Agitated because you quit smoking?  Or perhaps you just are a teenager and you feel that everyone else is better looking than you.  You name it they have a diagnosis waiting for you and a matching pill in just the right color.

Spread this article to everyone you know so that everyone gets the raw truth in the DVD, “A Documentary – Making A Killing – The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging” which is presented by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights.

Uses of Rhodiola Rosea

Rhodiola rosea may be effective for improving mood and alleviating depression. Pilot studies on human subjects showed that it improves physical and mental performance, reduces fatigue, and minimizes high-altitude sickness.

Rhodiola is included among a class of plant derivatives called adaptogens which differ from chemical stimulants, such as nicotine, and do not have the same physiological effects.

In Russia and Scandinavia, Rhodiola rosea, also known as golden root, has been used for centuries to cope with the cold Siberian climate and stressful life. Such effects were provided evidence in laboratory models of stress using the nematode, C. elegans, and in rats in which Rhodiola effectively prevented stress-induced changes in appetite, physical activity, weight gain and the estrus cycle. Link Between School Shootings and Prescription Meds – Video

There is a link between school shootings, such as Columbine and Virginia Tech, and prescription medications.

In this Video, Ritalin and other stimulants are compared to Cocaine and other similar drugs. Did you know that LSD and PCP were once considered safe drugs? “If we made this type of mistake in the past…”

Five million children in the United States take Ritalin, alone. This does not include similar psycho-stimulants such as Concerta and Adderall.

Paxil, Prozac, Luvox, any psychiatric drug is dangerous. Decide for yourself. Watch this video! Read the rest of this entry »

SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors)

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are a class of antidepressants used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, and some personality disorders. They are also prescribed for premature ejaculation problems. These drugs are supposed to increase an individual’s serotonin levels by increasing serotonin neurotransmitters.

Adverse Side Effects

General side effects are mostly present during the first 1-4 weeks while the body adapts to the drug (with the exception of sexual side effects, which tend to occur later in treatment). In fact, it often takes 6-8 weeks for the drug to begin reaching its full potential (the slow onset is considered a downside to treatment with SSRIs). Almost all SSRIs are known to cause one or more of these symptoms: Read the rest of this entry »
