The Drugging of our Children Video: ADHD, School Violence…

Has your child been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD?  Does your child feel depressed?  Psychotropic drugs like Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall, Prozac and the like, are not the answer.  This article contains a legnthy video on the truth about these issues.  Every parent should watch this video.  You will also learn below natural alternative treatments for ADHD from a change in environment to diet; links that explain your parent rights, explain how thyroid function might play a role in mental illness, educational solutions and many more.

A child can be diagnosed with ADD or ADHD for many reason such as, but is not limited to, poor reading and math skills requiring tutoring, environmental toxins, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, and abnormalities in the endocrine system or thyroid function.

References used in the video below are quoted from DMS IV – Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Psychiatric Disorders and The ICD – 10 Classification of Mental and Behavioral Disorders.

In the video, Peter Breggin, M.D. states, “‘The main symptoms of the hyperactivity, the one considered by the Psychiatric Association Manual, to have the most power, the symptom is ‘often fidgets with hands or feet or squirms in seat’. That’s it. That is the most powerful symptom.”

Another gentleman goes on to state, “Under ‘impulsivity;, often the first criteria, ‘blurts out answers to before questions have been completed and under ‘inattention, first criteria is often fails to give close attention details or makes careless mistakes in school work or other activities.’ If you look at how this diagnosis has been formulated it’s to refine disruptive classroom behavior with the purpose of being able to medicate, you know, under these psychiatric guidelines.”

Film maker, “Michael, to hear the experts say, ‘if you manifest any number of symptoms like easily distracted, blurting out an answer before you’re asked, daydreaming and looking out the window, fidgeting at your desk, unable to sit still, that these are the symptoms of the mental disorder called ADHD. What do you think about that?”

Michael Moore, “That was me! All those things were me! (laughing) Seriously, if this had been the way things were run back when I was growing up: always asking questions, always seeming a bit agitated, (laugh), my mind drifting off to some creative place. I tell you, they would have had me so doped up, you guys would have never heard of me. There never would have been a ‘Roger and Me’ or anything else. “

How to Treat ADHD Naturally

There are plenty of safe, effective alternatives for treating this condition, and some particularly effective methods include:

  • Using plenty of animal-based omega-3 fats.
  • Spending more time in nature. (less TV and video games).
  • Balancing your intake of omega-3 and omega-6 fats (from vegetables oils).
  • Avoiding processed foods, especially those containing artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives, which may trigger ADHD symptoms.
  • Replacing soft drinks, fruit juices, and pasteurized milk in your diet with pure water.
  • Reducing or eliminating grains and sugars from your diet.

What you need to know, and spread the word about, is that:

  • These drugs are potent (Ritalin is more potent than cocaine) and produce long-term changes in your child’s brain
  • They cause serious side effects
  • ADHD is almost always related to dietary and environmental factors, and can be cured by making the appropriate changes

I understand the pressures that parents are faced with to handle their children’s hyperactivity with , but please do not choose a quick fix.  Find out your parental rights. Try a diet change first and talk to your child.  Find out what is really going on with him/her.  Ask your child what he experiences in school.  Ask them what happens when they do not understand something.  Are they afraid to ask questions?  Are they encouraged to use a dictionary to look up words that they do not understand?  Is the teacher using words that they do not understand?  Are they allowed enough time to ask questions?  There are 3 barriers to study that can found on the left-hand side of this website page http://www.appliedscholastics.org/learning_barriers/index.php.  You will also find some great books that will supply your child with tools to help them in school: http://www.appliedscholastics.org/bookstore/category.php?c=0.
